Day 2 of the Record Drought

Well, I thought this morning that maybe the drought had broken, what with the dusting of new snow, but alas, it was not to be. The sun came back out and baked the earth dry. I even noticed some finely pulverized rock sifting across the roadways... I think in climates where droughts are more common they call this "dust". I've read about it but never seen it here. The scorching sun raised the temperature to nearly 45 degrees and the weather forecast is calling for more of the same. Hunker down folks, it is going to be a long haul!
