The Forever Kiss

We react, like forces of nature,
attracting and repelling.
At one moment pushing together,
the next, pulling apart.

Bone and muscle struggle
against emotion and philosophy.
Land and sea, wind and fire combined.
This constant action and reaction,
slamming and jarring at first...

has evolved...

We have slid into balance,
natural rhythm.

Encircling each other
like binary stars
swinging in elliptical orbits.

Each maintaining the course
of the other in a graceful, arching dance.

Our heads turn, slightly cocked,
Eyes sharp, vision locked on one another
as whirling and spinning we kiss,
that kiss that holds us always together.

That kiss that lasts forever.
